It is a participatory activity relating to hygiene, that have been received with great enthusiasm in slum community. The activity aims to show the audience rather than just telling, the objective is to tell the children about germs, which spread diseases and transfer easily from hand to hand but we cannot see them without technology. The other objective is making them learn the way to wash their hands and identify the five steps of the hand washing.
After the activity children gave a wonder full feedback saying germs are often passed hand to hand for that we need to wash our hands with soap. Through sick and healthy persons germs can cause common dieses like diarrhea, fevers etc Children understood that germs are not visible but they can still make us sick. If we wash our hands with soap by following 5 steps ,we can prevent the germs to enter in our body and create disease.
